Phillip Indoor Cricket Centre

New Development

The Phillip Oval houses the administration and training facilities for two of the largest sports in Australia. It supports Cricket ACT and AFL ACT/NSW in its delivery of community and high-performance programs for female and male players year round. The upgrade of the precinct included a new state-of-the-art cricket centre with four indoor synthetic wickets and dividing nets to be used for community purposes such as local matches as well as training.

The cricket centre required lighting that promotes high player performance. It was important to create good visibility for the players, officials and spectators whilst providing sufficient and uniform illumination of the main playing area and the ball throughout its flight. Using the premium Pluto 150W Premium Highbay, an average of 2700 lux is achieved while glare is controlled and restricted. Players and spectators alike enjoy a better sporting experience with a new look pavilion.
