Stromlo Leisure Centre

New Development

The Stromlo Leisure Centre is a brand new world-class facility, boasting an eight lane 50 metre lap and competition pool, 20 metre learn to swim pool, a toddler's pool and splash park, gym facilities, café, creche and swim store. It offers Canberra residents access to world class programs like Learn to Swim, group fitness, swim squads and personal training.

Using the premium Rhyne 200W Floodlight in combination with the Vertex Floodlight series, an average of 600 lux is achieved over the competition pool, providing sufficient and uniform illumination for competition standards. To withstand the highly humid and corrosive environment, an anti-condensation coating was applied on the frosted glass lens and a double thickness anti-corrosive powdercoat was selected for the finish. Silicone encapsulation of the PCBs, and silicone coating around the wire joints with 316 Stainless Steel screws further enhances protection against the elements. The centre serves more than 100,000 Canberrans as a thriving hub for sport and recreation in the ACT.
