LED Upgrade
The Bentleigh Library has been transformed into a community centre that integrates both council library and youth services, in partnership with the Victorian Government. The lighting design was a crucial aspect of the renovation, with careful consideration taken to provide an aesthetically pleasing and functional design that worked well with the space's architecture and interior.
Each zone was designed differently to suit its purpose, with strip lighting around the welcome desk creating an inviting atmosphere and the linear surface mount extrusion providing a pleasing visual look throughout the space. In the reading area, softer lighting was used to promote relaxation and create a calming atmosphere. The lighting in the space was also designed to promote the different areas and functions of the community centre.
The transformation of the Bentleigh Library into a community centre serves as an excellent example of balancing design and functionality to meet the diverse needs of the local community. The lighting design has contributed to the success of the community centre, creating a space that is both visually appealing and functional.
