Decrolux Awarded Government Grant to Expand Manufacturing Capabilities

Decrolux Lighting Pty Ltd, an innovative LED Lighting company based in Australia, is a successful applicant of the Advanced Manufacturing Accelerating Growth Program. The program encourages advanced manufacturers to make further investments such as new equipment that supports the expansion of current markets and tapping into new trade industries.

With over 25 years of lighting experience, Decrolux continues to go above and beyond in providing the Australian market with cutting-edge designs and updated technology. The grant from the Tasmanian government will be used to acquire Viso System’s LabSpion®. The LabSpion® is a complete light measurement solution that covers all light sources from small lamps and LED chips to panels and street lights.

It is composed of a two-axis LabSpion® goniometer that allows the system to measure the entire 3D distribution field for any light source. It also uses a spectrometer sensor and a built-in power analyzer that provides fast measurements, guaranteeing all data is measured quickly. Here are seven other advantages of LabSpion®:

1. Measures light sources up to 45kgs and up to 1.5m dia.

2. Includes all color and lumen data, so no additional integrating sphere is needed.

3. Includes flicker measurement, temperature measurement, and a power analyzer.

4. An advanced, versatile system that’s easy to operate

5. Gives customizable reports and raw data. Reports include Input Power, Power Factor, Delivered Lumen Output, Lumen Efficiency, Peak Intensity and Beam Angle, CCT, CRI, SDCM, and Flicker.

6. CALI-T50 self-calibration equipment included.

7. The software includes an online test report tracking/ verification system.

In 2023, Decrolux will be building a thermally controlled dark room (16m x 3m), surrounded by a light-trapping curtain.

In 2023, We will be updating IES files and uploading test reports for every product across our range. We will also use this equipment for new product R&D, and custom solutions. Exciting Times are ahead!
